Long may she reign

Whatever your views on the monarchy, surely you will agree that Queen Elizabeth has performed her duties with diligence and grace since inheriting the crown in 1953.

So, on her 87th birthday, here she is, as she was and as she is.

  1. A fascinating montage of morphing photos but I must confess I had to turn the sound off while watching it because that saccharine song was giving me "the diabeetus!"

    1. I agree with you re: the music. Terrible after the third repetition.

  2. Yes, a very fascinating video! I'm not a fan of the monarchy, but I do like this lady. I think she's very classy and graceful, and has carried out her duties wonderfully. I hope she lives for a long time, so she can continue to do so. Because I think he son is a bit of a dweeb! Her grandson, on the other hand, shows some promise toward being classy like her (and his late mom).

    1. Personally, I think it's time for us to wind up this whole monarchy thing, but Liz has done the job well. Probably hanging on in hopes that they can skip a generation.

  3. A little creepy in parts near the end but otherwise an amazing photo montage of the stages of life. Holy moley though. What's with the music?? :)

    1. Yeah, this morphing technique is cool. Apparently there is free software on the web that allows you to do it.
